N.A.P.P. received two-year funding to work with eleven Primary Care Trusts in England to promote patient participation in primary care.

The project ran from July 2008 to June 2010.  The project sites were invited to follow a seven stage process as follows:

Step 1: Initial set-up meeting with stakeholders

Step 2: Mapping exercise to understand current position

Step 3: Workshops to identify local needs

Step 4: Agreement of action plan

Step 5: Development of resources to promote patient participation

Step 6: Closing review meeting

Step 7: National Conference (if funding allows)
