Performance Table for GP Surgeries.

The performance table was published following feedback from patients about how one makes a choice of which GP surgery to register with.

Feedback came via the patient survey, PALS officers and other informal feedback. The Chief Executive of the PCT listened and took initiative to produce performance tables.

The PCT is awaiting results from latest patient survey that may offer some evaluation of the impact of publishing tables.

The project feels the critical factors for success are:

• Leadership from Chief Executive - very focused and committed to seeing it through despite some opposition and concerns

• Involve patients at the earliest possible point
