Leeds South PCT
This is a Travellers Health Project responding to the health needs of Travellers as expressed by Travellers themselves.
From a series of one to one interviews with travellers their needs and wants were turned into action plans for improving access to health services for the travelling population.
The project feels the critical factors for success are:
- Keep it simple
- Be realistic and truthful to patients
- Be genuine - don't be tokenistic
