Affiliating to N.A.P.P.

Details are provided below of the three affiliation options currently available.  PPGs can join NAPP by completing this form and sending their payment to cover the membership fee.  This should be sent to Edith Todd, 19 Harvey Road, Walton on Thames, Surrey KT12 2PZ.  If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to email Edith - admin@napp.org.uk

Interested PCTs and individual members are encouraged to contact Edith who can send them the appropriate paperwork to join.

Patient Participation Groups

Patient Participation Groups that affiliate to NAPP are offered: 

  • a monthly ebulletin
  • five printed copies of our quarterly newsletter
  • occasional publications and reports
  • our Handbook of Patient Participation
  • telephone advice on their formation and development
  • a representative to speak at meetings on an expenses only basis where possible
  • support for the formation of local PPG networks
  • substantial discounts to NAPP national and regional Conferences
  • guidance on legal matters from our pro bono solicitors, Allen & Overy
  • access to the membership section of our website, including the online discussion forum
  • opportunities to comment on national consultations
  • the right to contribute fully to NAPP Annual General Meetings.

Cost: £30 annually

Primary Care Organisations

Primary Care Organisations that affiliate to NAPP are offered: 

  • a monthly ebulletin
  • printed copies of our quarterly newsletter for each of the practices in their area
  • occasional publications and reports
  • our Toolkit on Developing Patient Participation
  • a copy of the Handbook of Patient Participation
  • discounted rates on training and workshops
  • discounted rates on speakers for conferences
  • sharing of information about involving PPGs in commissioning
  • access to the PCT members' section of our website, including the online forum
  • where appropriate, guidance on PPG matters from our pro bono solicitors, Allen and Overy
  • information on developments in other PCT areas with respect to PPGs

Cost: £300 annually 

Individual membership

Individual members receive a monthly ebulletin and a quarterly newsletter. Both of these are sent by email only. They will also receive other occasional publications distributed by electronic means. Individual members are welcome to contribute to the work of the Association but are not entitled to make proposals or vote at the Annual General Meeting.

Cost: £10 annually
